What is Reiki?
The word Reiki (pronouced ray-key) means Universal Life Energy. It is a Japanese hands-on energy technique used for stress reduction and also promotes healing from within. It is a highly effective and non-invasive form of healing that has been used for thousands of years in other cultures. It is simple, however, powerful.
How Does Reiki Work?
Reiki practitioners are given an attunement/placement which allows the Universal Life Energy to flow through them to the receiver. It is not the transference of the personal energy of the practitioner. The Reiki practitioner acts as a channel for the Universal Life Energy to flow through their hands. Therefore, Reiki prevents the practitoner's energy level from being depleted. It also does not allow the transfer of personal energy between the practitioner and the receiver. Reiki is an "intelligent" energy. It is Divinely guided to the place that needs healing, whether physical , mental, emotional ot spiritual. Reiki heals on all levels.
Who Will Benefit From Reiki?
Everyone can benefit from the healing energy of Reiki. The Universal Life Energy is present in and around all of us and everything. By tapping into this energy, we can all gain strength and healing from its loving source. Reiki helps to reduce headaches, stress and pain from arthritis, cancer, any illness. It also promotes healing in those who have surgery by keeping the body balanced before the procedure and encouraging the healing process after the surgery. Many have found it very helpful when going through the grieving process. Reiki can help treat any disease and help maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit.

Who Can Learn Reiki?
Anyone can learn Reiki. It is not dependent on intellect or specific beliefs. Reiki is transferred from a Master Teacher to a student through an attunement process. Once attuned, the student has the ability to perform Reiki for the rest of their life. It can be used by anyone of any faith, religion or philosophy. Reiki As Complimentary Treatment
Reiki is a wonderful compliment to medical and psychological treatments. The results of "traditional" methods are enhanced and improved.
Many hospitals and nursing homes are allowing Reiki practitioners to treat patients in their facilities. In fact, some doctors and nurses are becoming Reiki practitioners. Linda's Reiki classes are approved for nursing Contact Hours. For number of hours approved for each class, contact Linda. |
Reiki For Animals
Animals love Reiki too!! It has been found that Reiki helps with separation anxiety issues, which may in turn help with behavioral concerns. Pain from cancer or arthritis, can also be greatly reduced by this healing energy.

Reiki TreatmentsA Reiki session includes a brief discussion on what the clients concerns are and what they hope to achieve from the visit. The treatment usually lasts approximately 60 minutes. The client lays on a Reiki table (fully clothed) and the practitioner places his/her hands directly on, or a few inches above, the clients body. The Reiki energy then flows to the area of the body in need of healing. The only responsibility of the client, is to relax and enjoy!

NURSING CONTACT HOURS PROVIDED FOR MOST CLASSES
Usui Reiki I
Reiki means Universal Life Energy. This ancient healing energy may reduce stress, relieve pain and facilitate healing. Some women also study Reiki so that they can give themselves and their baby Reiki during their pregnancy. This workshop includes an overview of the history of Reiki, instruction in hand positions used for treatment and a summary of the energy centers of the body. By the end of class, each student will have received the Reiki I attunement and become certified as a Reiki I Practitioner.

$150.00 for the 8 hour class
Usui Reiki II
Second degree Reiki is available to Reiki I Practitioners who would like to strengthen the Reiki energy flow of their sessions. The use of ancient Reiki symbols will be taught to aid in emotional issues as well as distance healing. Prerequisite: Reiki I.

$250.00 for the 8 hour class
Usui Reiki III

For students who would like to enhance their Reiki skills, this class reviews the Reiki symbols in depth and also incorporates the use of essential oils, flower essences and crystals. Participants will also learn how to give a Healing Attunement. Prerequisite: Reiki II

USUI HOLY FIRE® III Karuna Reiki® Master Training
Karuna Reiki® builds on the teachings of Usui Reiki by introducing new symbols and other healing modalities, such as chanting and toning. The program was developed by William Lee Rand, The International Center for Reiki Training.
***This program has now enfolded into the new Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki Master Teacher.
This is a 3 day class, 10am-6pm....$777. Prerequisite: Usui Reiki Master Teacher or Usui/Holy Fire® Master Teacher for at least 6 months.
Holy Fire® Reiki
Holy Fire® Reiki is a new form of Reiki being introduced by the ICRT. It is both powerful and gentle; and provides purification, healing, empowerment and guidance.
Holy Fire is not intended to have a religious meaning. The word "holy" means to be whole and complete and this is how it is used in Holy Fire. Therefore, Holy Fire is a spiritual energy that creates wholeness through purification, healing, empowerment and guidance.
Holy Fire energy is noticeably more refined and comes from a higher level of consciousness. It is a living flame that surrounds the body, flows through the body, and surrounds the aura. It burns up negative ki; releases malefic spirits that do not support your highest good; promotes physical, emotional and spiritual healing, empowers by bringing vitality, feelings of confidence and safety; delivers peace. Holy Fire provides continuous gentle healing, deepening ones spiritual connection and accelerating spiritual growth.
